Meet D.D. — The Digital Darling of the Press
D.D., also spelled and pronounced "DeeDee," is the spirit and satire of The Postboy, our beloved mascot hand-drawn by the founder herself, based on the appearance of Marjorie. You can find her often in the rooms writing headlines or delivering newspapers to your doorstep! D.D. loves cheese, cleaning, and ensuring that the information in the paper is true! Play D.D.'s webgame here! The game is "Everyday Delivery," where you go through D.D.'s daily routine of giving mail in her neighborhood. However, there's just one issue... she's waken up late today! Can you deliver to all the houses and still meet the time quota?
"The truth is in chaos, and clarity in ink!" – D.D.
About The Postboy
The Postboy was founded many many years ago back in 1952 by a woman named Joy. She aspired to bring voice and justice to the unheard and underrepresented, and did her best in her circumstances. She wrote under the pen name, Thomas, to anonymously conceal her identity. With the help of a woman named Marjorie, she was able to distribute her stories and her words to empower others. Marjorie was a postwoman, who hid her gender at the time, determined to deliver news every single morning and night to people's doorsteps. With networking, and help of friends, they were able to build a small office starting off, and continue the legacy that they have today.
The Postboy's Joy and Marjorie fostered and adopted many children later in their lifetime. They were motivated to give older teenagers a new, reformed chance at life. In their household, they prioritized reading, research, and critical thinking skills for growth and development. As of current day, most of the foster children had their own children, and moved onto different industries. However, Edna Z. Kaur, is here at the Postboy, following in her lineage's footsteps to journalism and news coverage. The Kaur family is one of the first families to be adopted by Joy and Marjorie.
